Runway Hair Trends Make You Pretty In A Minute

There’s no better place to get a look at future trends in clothing, hair and makeup than on the runway during fashion week. It’s a good peek into what will make you Pretty in a Minute in the coming months.

Described as a “modern type of twenties hair,” chic, sophisticated styles dominated the runway at London fashion week, according to WWD beauty and fashion news.

If you’re interested in achieving a sophisticated look, Pretty in a Minute has several implements your stylist can use, including the 1.25 Classic Flat Iron; Keratin Smart Flat Iron; 3 in 1 Curling Wand Styler; 100 percent Titanium Ceramic Blend Apollo Super Turbo 6900 Hair Dryer; Carbon Heat-Resistant Straightening EZ Comb; Epic Cordless Clipper; 6-Inch Swivel Shears Set; and 9-piece combo Carbon Heat Resistant Comb Set.

“The side parting gives a masculine feel to the hair,” said hair professional Anthony Turner “While the finger wave creates a Twenties aesthetic, this is a girl who’s been trudging around her estate in all weathers. So the wave is mushy and imperfect, and the color of the hair pins contrasts [with] that of her hair to make it seem random and homemade.”

Also showing on the runway was a 1960s bob style, as well as chignons and braided updos.

Hair styles with a “tomboy” feeling were paired with more tailored clothing collections. Other models sported glamorous wavy hair created by parting tresses and pinning sections into waves, channeling actresses from the 1930s.

Also on trend were bold brows. Models were seen with exaggerated eyebrows that looked like they hadn’t been plucked.

Overall, there was an emphasis on fresh skin, boyish brows and haunting eyes, said makeup artist Andrew Gallimore. For one show, models sported glittery side parts as well as glitter on their faces. Some models were given matte skin and eyes painted with a shiny, metallic silver, while others paid homage to the 1930s and 1970s, which included a smoky bronze Hollywood eye.
